Amendment #1261 to H4200

Mobile College Planning Centers

Representatives Mark of Peru, Keefe of Worcester, Ashe of Longmeadow, Donahue of Worcester and O'Day of West Boylston move that the bill be amended in item 7066-0000, be inserting after “relations” the following:- “; Operation of a statewide traveling college planning center and program to help Massachusetts families develop a comprehensive plan for college financing which includes college planning, digital financial education and education debt management counseling; provided further that no less than $100,000 shall be expended for a grant program, administered by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education; provided further, that such program shall provide a matching amount of at least $100,000 in private funding for direct support of the statewide traveling college planning center; provided further, that the program be chosen through a single competitive process and that the funds be disbursed by September, 30, 2016;”
