Amendment #1273 to H4200

Unaccompanied Homeless Youth Commission

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston, Garballey of Arlington, Heroux of Attleboro, Benson of Lunenburg, Malia of Boston, Khan of Newton, Gonzalez of Springfield, McMurtry of Dedham, Toomey of Cambridge, Sannicandro of Ashland, Madden of Nantucket, Dwyer of Woburn, Rogers of Cambridge, Cantwell of Marshfield, Donahue of Worcester, Ultrino of Malden, Ashe of Longmeadow, Hecht of Watertown, Atkins of Concord, Barber of Somerville, Keefe of Worcester, Decker of Cambridge, Fox of Boston, Linsky of Natick, Lawn of Watertown and Smizik of Brookline move to amend the bill, in section 2, line item 4000-0300, by inserting after the words "section 2 of chapter 182 of the acts of 2008;" the following:

provided further, $150,000 shall be expended for the work of the Massachusetts Special Commission on Unaccompanied Homeless Youth to determine the scope of need among unaccompanied youth and young adults ages 24 and younger who are experiencing homelessness, and to identify and implement potential models for appropriate service delivery to unaccompanied homeless youth in urban, suburban, and rural areas of the commonwealth;" and by striking the figure "$100,088,866" and inserting in place thereof the figure “$100,238,866" .
