Amendment #1290 to H4200

Increasing fines for unlawful employment

Representatives Orrall of Lakeville, Poirier of North Attleborough, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Gifford of Wareham and Frost of Auburn move to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following new section:-

"SECTION X. Section 19C of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 16 and 17, the words “five hundred nor less than two hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following:- "$1000 nor less than $500" per employee.".
