Amendment #376 to H4200

Child Care Provider Reimbursement Task Force

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following new section:

"SECTION  XX . To the study the impact of a creation of a tiered reimbursement system for licensed child care centers and family child care providers, the executive office of health and human services in conjunction with the department of early education and care shall develop a task force to conduct an investigation of all licensed child care centers and determine the feasibility and impact of issuing higher reimbursement rates to child care centers recognized as higher quality. The executive office shall submit a report on the results of said investigation to the house and senate committees on ways and means, the joint committee on health care financing, the joint committee on children, families and persons with disabilities and the house and senate clerks not later than April 1, 2017.”
