Amendment #407 to H4200

Raising the Foster Parent Age Requirement

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following new section:-

“SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Children and Families shall raise the age for which a person is eligible to become a foster parent from 18 to 21 years of age.”
