Amendment #615 to H4200

Exempting Small Projects From the Prevailing Wage Law

Mr. Lyons of Andover moves to amend the bill by adding the following new outside section:

SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the cities and towns of the Commonwealth, by a vote of the town, shall be able to exempt themselves from sections 26 through 27G of chapter 149 of the General Laws for projects estimated to cost $50,000 or less.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
