Amendment #629 to H4200

Mr. Madden of Nantucket moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Any general or special law or rule or regulation relating to the advertising, bidding or award of contracts, to the procurement of services or to the design or construction of improvements shall not apply to the construction or build-out of improvements by the Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living, Inc., provided, however, that any construction or improvements by the Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living, Inc. to the common areas of the building or areas exclusive of the tenant’s space, as designated in the lease, shall be subject to the wage requirements of sections 26 to 27H, inclusive, of chapter 149 of the General Laws.”
