Amendment #682 to H4200

An amendment to Encourage Developing Businesses to Remain in the Commonwealth

Representatives Diehl of Whitman and DeCoste of Norwell move to amend the bill by inserting the following section:

"SECTION XX. Section 24 of Chapter 10 of the General laws is hereby amended by inserting the following paragraph:

“The Commission shall not establish any contest in which the offer or award of a Prize is connected to the statistical performance or finishing position of one or more persons participating in an underlying amateur or professional competition, but does not include offering or awarding a Prize to the winner of or participants in the underlying competition itself.”
