Amendment #730 to H4200

Robert F. Kennedy Children Action Corps Detention Diversion Program

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield, Khan of Newton, Cutler of Duxbury, Brodeur of Melrose, Hay of Fitchburg, Dykema of Holliston and Calter of Kingston move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4200-0010, in line 19 , by inserting after the phrase "chapter 84;" the following:

 

"provided, that the department shall expend not less than $500,000 to expand the Detention Diversion Advocacy Program to be coordinated by the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps to prevent high-risk juveniles presenting before the court from penetrating further into the juvenile justice system.;"

 

and in said item by striking out the figures "4,375,287" and inserting in place thereof the figures "4,875,287."
