Amendment #747 to H4200

increasing the Massachusetts Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) from 23% to 50% of the federal credit

Representatives Decker of Cambridge, Rogers of Cambridge, Madaro of Boston, Smizik of Brookline, DiZoglio of Methuen, DuBois of Brockton, Walsh of Framingham, Sannicandro of Ashland, Khan of Newton, Ultrino of Malden, Koczera of New Bedford, Barber of Somerville and Provost of Somerville move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XX. Section 6, subsection h, of chapter 62 of the General Laws [M.G.L. c. 62, S. 6(h)] is hereby amended by striking out the figure “23” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure: - 50.”
