Amendment #754 to H4200

to protect children experiencing homelessness

Representatives Decker of Cambridge, Rogers of Cambridge, Khan of Newton, Smizik of Brookline, DiZoglio of Methuen, DuBois of Brockton, Sannicandro of Ashland, Vega of Holyoke, Cantwell of Marshfield, Ultrino of Malden, Gordon of Bedford, O'Connell of Taunton, Hecht of Watertown, Garballey of Arlington, Atkins of Concord, Barber of Somerville, Provost of Somerville and Dykema of Holliston move to amend the bill in section 2, item 7004-0101, by striking out the following “(d) families who are in a housing situation where they are not the primary lease holder or who are in a housing situation not meant for human habitation and where there is a substantial health and safety risk to the family that is likely to result in significant harm should the family remain in such housing situation;” and inserting in place thereof the following:-

“(d) families who are in a housing situation where they are not the primary lease holder or who are in or within 24 hours of entering a housing situation not meant for human habitation and where there is a substantial health and safety risk to the family that is likely to result in significant harm should the family remain in or enter such housing situation;"
