Representatives Decker of Cambridge, Lawn of Watertown, Vega of Holyoke, Schmid of Westport, DuBois of Brockton, Sannicandro of Ashland, Khan of Newton, Cassidy of Brockton, Ultrino of Malden, Walsh of Framingham, Cabral of New Bedford, Collins of Boston, Garballey of Arlington, Hecht of Watertown, O'Day of West Boylston, Benson of Lunenburg, Barber of Somerville and Provost of Somerville move to amend the bill by inserting after the following new section: - SECTION XXA. Clause 1 of subsection (e) of chapter 110 of chapter 5 of the acts of 1995, as amended by section 24 of chapter 158 of the acts of 2014, is hereby further amended by striking out the words: “, in the commissioner’s discretion,” and by inserting after the words: “previous dependency” the following words: - , provided, however, that the department shall review and update its medical standards as necessary to ensure that the standards are consistent with current medical knowledge.
