Amendment #783 to H4200

Level 1 Sex Offender Information

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following new sections:-

“SECTION XX. Section 178I of chapter 6 of the Generals Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after line 16 the following new paragraph:- “Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Information about level 1 offenders shall be made available pursuant to this section to child care facilities licensed by the department of early education and care, entities and organizations engaged in providing activities or programs to children 18 years of age or younger, including but not limited to the Young Men’s Christian Association and The Boys and Girls Clubs.

SECTION XX. Section 178K of chapter 6 of the Generals Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 116, by inserting after the word “to” the words “child care facilities licensed by the department of early education and care, and entities and organizations engaged in providing activities or programs to children 18 years of age or younger, including but not limited to Young Men’s Christian Association and The Boys and Girls Clubs.”.
