Amendment #823 to H4200
Firearms Trafficking Research
Representatives Linsky of Natick and Khan of Newton move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 0810-0000, by adding the following: “not less than $200,000 shall be expended for research on gun violence administered by the attorney general, provided that a request for proposals be targeted at understanding the patterns of gun trafficking, including the purchase, movement, storage, and theft of guns used in homicides, suicides, or accidents, and other gun-related research, in order to provide evidence aimed at improving violence prevention programs or reducing the volume of guns in the possession of unlicensed individuals in the Commonwealth”; and in said item by striking out the figures “$23,244,018” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$23,444,018”
