Mass in Motion: Promotion of Wellness and Prevention

Representatives Cariddi of North Adams, Ultrino of Malden, Hecht of Watertown, Walsh of Framingham, Vega of Holyoke, Tosado of Springfield, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Khan of Newton, Gentile of Sudbury, McMurtry of Dedham, Donahue of Worcester, Chan of Quincy, Barber of Somerville, Mom of Lowell, Hunt of Boston, Garballey of Arlington, Sannicandro of Ashland, Ferrante of Gloucester, Fiola of Fall River, Toomey of Cambridge, Moran of Lawrence, Pignatelli of Lenox, Provost of Somerville, Cabral of New Bedford and Brodeur of Melrose move to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 4513-1111, by adding after “prevention” the following: “provided that funding shall be expended for Mass in Motion community grants in an amount not less than expended in fiscal year 2016, contingent upon receipt of matching federal prevention block grant funds” and in said item by striking out the figures "$3,599,010" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$3,952,386".
