Representatives Cabral of New Bedford, Schmid of Westport, Walsh of Framingham, Hecht of Watertown, Moran of Lawrence, Heroux of Attleboro, Toomey of Cambridge, Sannicandro of Ashland, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Khan of Newton, Donahue of Worcester, Chan of Quincy, Gordon of Bedford, Decker of Cambridge, Gonzalez of Springfield, O'Day of West Boylston, Fiola of Fall River, Benson of Lunenburg, Vega of Holyoke, Ultrino of Malden, Kane of Shrewsbury, Barber of Somerville and Koczera of New Bedford move to amend the bill, in section 2, in item 4401-1000, in line 2, by inserting after “program,” the following:- "provided further, that the department shall spend no less than amount spent in fiscal year 2016 for the young parents program; provided further, that funds from this line item shall be spent to provide reimbursement for transportation costs for recipients in approved education or training programs or performing paid work in an amount equal to the actual costs of the most reasonable and practical mode of transportation or $80 per month, whichever is less; provided further, that the department shall spend no less than the amount spent in fiscal year 2016 for stipends for the DTA Works internship program;".
