Amendment #876 to H4200

School Resource Officer Training Program

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield and Calter of Kingston move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 8200-0200 the following item:

"8200-XXXX For the Municipal Police Training Committee to develop, in consultation with local law enforcement and experts in adolescent development and policing youth, a school resource officer training program for said officers, administrators, and police supervisors on training topics including, but not limited to, memorandum of understanding, adolescent development, juvenile law, and de-escalation and diversion techniques, and to provide grants covering training costs, such as shift backfill for attending officers......$1,320,000".
