Amendment #985 to H4200

Supportive and TANF Childcare & Child Care Access

Ms. Peisch of Wellesley moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 3000-3060, in line 8, by striking out the words "provided further, that for children with active cases at the department of children and families, funds may be used to provide services during a transition period of 6 months upon the closure of the family’s case;" and inserting in place thereof the following words:-

"provided further, that reimbursements to providers for services rendered in prior fiscal years may be expended from this item; and provided further, that the department shall recoup funds owed by providers related to payments made by the department in the prior fiscal year by reducing payments to said provider for services related to this item rendered in fiscal year 2017; provided further, that for children with active cases at the department of children and families, funds may be used to provide services during a transition period of 12 months upon the closure of the family’s case;”

 

And further moves to amend said section 2, in item 3000-4060, in line 14, by inserting after the words "and the secretary of administration and finance" the following:-

“; provided further, that reimbursements to providers for services rendered in prior fiscal years may be expended from this item; and provided further, that the department shall recoup funds owed by providers related to payments made by the department in the prior fiscal year by reducing payments to said provider for services related to this item rendered in fiscal year 2017”.
