Striking remuneration language

Mr. Chan of Quincy moves to amend the bill in section 1, in lines 71 to 74, by striking out the following: “(3) provide for an annual remuneration for the contracting distribution company up to 2.75 per cent of the annual payments under the contract to compensate the company for accepting the financial obligation of the long-term contract, such provision to be acted upon by the department of public utilities at the time of contract approval;”

Moves to further amend the bill, in section 1, from lines 201 to 204 by striking out the words:- “(3) provide for an annual remuneration for the contracting distribution company up to 2.75 per cent of the annual payments under the contract to compensate the company for accepting the financial obligation of the long-term contract, such provision to be acted upon by the department of public utilities at the time of contract approval;”
