Pilot Program for Adult Education in Turnaround Schools

Mr. Markey of Dartmouth moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

SECTION X. Section 1K of chapter 69 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(l) There shall be a pilot program, within the department, for such purposes as to provide adult education in elementary English language learning, reading comprehension, and elementary mathematics for parents or guardians of students in no more than 3 level 5 “Turnaround Schools” as defined in this section.
