Wages clarification

Mr. Jones of North Reading moves to amend the amendment in section, in lines 15 and 16 inclusive, by striking the words,  “’Wages’, for purposes of this section, shall include all forms of remuneration for employment.”  and inserting in place thereof the following: -

“Wages”, for the purposes of this section, shall include all wages paid for employment, but shall not include one-time payments such as signing bonuses, severance packages, or voluntary compassion payments made to the employee.
