Amendment #1 to H4781

HWM Technical Amendment

Mr. Dempsey of Haverhill moves to amend the amendment as appearing in the text contained in House Document numbered 4781, in section 1, by striking out, in lines 47 and 49  the word “preapproval” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following word:- “approval”;

And moves to further amend the bill, in section 2, by striking out, in line 57, the following words, “, a defined in section 16 of chapter 25A”;

And moves to further amend the bill, in  said section 2, by adding the following sentence:- “For the purposes of this section, “zero emissions vehicle”, shall mean a battery electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle or a fuel cell vehicle.”;

And moves to further amend the bill, in section 3, by striking out, in line 63, the word “shall” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- “may”.
