Restoring transportation cuts

Mr. Donnelly moves to amend the bill by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

SECTION XX. Sections 5 and 6 shall take effect only upon a report by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation  certifying that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s State of Good Repair asset rating meets standards and goals established by the Federal Transit Authority pursuant to the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act, and certifying that  all bridges identified in the Department of Transportation’s Bridge Prioritization System  list of structurally deficient bridges have been repaired. The Department of Transportation shall file said certifications with the clerks of the house and senate and with the house and senate ways and means committees.
