Ensuring Continued Solar Deployment

Mr. Jones of North Reading moves to amend the bill by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

“SECTION X. Said subsection (f) of section 139 of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting, in line 76, after the word “load.” the following words:-

‘The department shall have the authority to increase such caps if it finds an increase to be in the public interest. The department shall be authorized to condition any increase or otherwise limit the applicability to project classifications, as it may deem appropriate.’”.
