Title insurance policyholder notification

Ms. Chandler moves to amend the bill by inserting at the end the following section:-

SECTION 5. Title insurance providers will send notification to all present Massachusetts residential title insurance policyholders of changes to their contract pursuant to this legislation.

The Secretary of State shall adopt regulations regarding this section and promulgate notification language understandable by the least educated consumer including a declaration, appearing on the 1st page of the notice stating: "This is an important notice concerning title insurance protections to your home. Have it translated at once". The notice shall also clarify any time limitations imposed by the statute.
