ERIP Expansion

Mr. Rush moves to amend the bill Mr. Rush moves to amend the bill, Senate No. 2025, by inserting at the end thereof the following new section:-

SECTION XX.  Subsection (c) of section 3 of chapter 19 of the Acts of 2015 is hereby amended by striking out after the word “appropriation” the following words:- federal grant or trust”;

and, in section 4, by inserting after the words “June 30, 2015”, the following words:- In the case of employees whose compensation is funded from a federal grant or trust as each is defined in section 1 of chapter 20 of the General Laws, the state board of retirement shall receive an eligible employee’s application for retirement on or after October 1, 2015 but not later than November 1, 2015 in order for the employee to be eligible to receive the retirement benefit provided in this act. The retirement date requested in such an eligible employee’s application shall be DATE X.
