Burlington Civil Service Exemption

Mr. Donnelly moves to amend the amendment by inserting at the end thereof, the following sections:-

"SECTION XX. The positions within the Burlington Police Department shall be exempt from Chapter 31 of the General Laws.

SECTION XX. Section XX shall not impair the civil service status of a person holding a civil service position in the Town of Burlington on the effect date of this act.

SECTION XX. This section shall take effect upon its passage."
