Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill , in section 1, by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- “Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Thomas J. Barnaby may serve as chief of police in the town of Windsor until April 29, 2020, the date of his resignation or the date he is relieved of his duties by the select board, whichever occurs first; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office.”; and

by striking out, in line 7, the word “further”.
