Striking set per capita standards

Mr. Lewis moves to amend the bill by striking, in line 9, the following words, “The standards shall reduce solid waste to not more than 600 pounds per capita by July 1, 2018 and not more than 450 pounds per capita by July 1, 2022.”; and inserting in place thereof the following words:-

“The department shall develop standards, designed to decrease over time, on a per capita or per household basis, that serve the goal of reducing the quantity of solid waste produced in the commonwealth.”
