Implementation Period for DPU

Messrs. deMacedo and OConnor move to amend the amendment by inserting at line 494 after the word “act” the following:- “, provided, however, that on no more than 6 occasions, the department of public utilities, in its sole discretion, may extend the effective date of this section by one month.  Nothing in this section shall prevent the department from promulgating regulations and otherwise establishing the regulatory framework necessary to implement this law.”.
