Housing Authority Vacancies

Mr. Moore moves to amend the amendment by adding at the end thereof the following new section:-

"Section _. The fourth paragraph of section 5 of chapter 121B, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence at the end thereof:-

"If the department does not fill a vacancy within 120 days from the date that a vacancy is created, the board of selectmen shall in writing appoint a person by a majority vote to fill such vacancy for the unexpired portion of the term.  In a city, the mayor shall appoint a person subject to confirmation by the city council for the unexpired portion of the term.""
