Stop Work Orders Effective Immediately

Mr. Donnelly moves to amend the bill by striking out, in lines 41-42, the words “96 hours after the order is served upon the violator or at the worksite or place of business or employment of the violator”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “when served upon the violator or at the worksite or place of business or employment of the violator and shall remain in effect until the director, or designee, issues an order releasing the stop work order upon a finding that the violation has been corrected”; and,

by striking out, in lines 61-62, the words “96 hours after the order is served upon the violator or at the worksite or place of business or employment of the violator”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “when served upon the violator or at the worksite or place of business or employment of the violator and shall remain in effect until the attorney general, or designee, issues an order releasing the stop work order upon a finding that the violation has been corrected”.
