Chapter Not Applicable to SBA Definition of Small Businesses

Ms. O'Connor Ives moves to amend the bill in section 3, in proposed section 1 of proposed chapter 175M of the General Laws, by inserting after the definition of “Serious health condition” the following definition:-

““Small business employer”, an employer with 10 or fewer employees.”; and

in said section 3, by inserting after the word “section”, in line 241, the following words:- “; provided, however, that a small business employer may require an employee to provide up to 100 per cent of the contribution required by this section.”
