Expanding Eligibility for Home Care Services II

Mrs. L'Italien, Messrs. Lewis, Moore and Joyce, Ms. Lovely, Mr. Eldridge and Ms. Gobi moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 9110-1630, by striking, the figure “$106,667,534” and inserting in place thereof:- “$109,839,013”, 

And further moves to amend said line item by inserting, in line 5, by inserting after the words “provided to the elderly;” the following words:-

“provided further, the secretary of elder affairs shall establish income eligibility to provide home care services in items 9110-1630, 9110-1633, and 9110-1550 for certain persons whose income does not exceed three hundred percent of the federal poverty level, and a sliding fee scale for persons receiving home care services whose income exceeds the limits established pursuant to the provisions of section 9 of chapter one hundred and eighteen;”

And further moves to amend said line item by striking lines 32-33 and inserting in place thereof the following words:-

“General Fund 91.1%

Community First Trust Fund 8.9%”

And further moves to amend Section 2 in line item 9110-1550 by striking the figure “$70,255,327” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “$72,629,931

General Fund 95.4%

Community First Trust Fund 4.6%”

And further moves to amend Section 2, in line item 9110-1633, by striking the figure “$35,546,961” and inserting in place thereof, the following words:- “$36,258,109

General Fund 98.04%

Community First Trust Fund 1.96%”
