College Textbook Cost Reduction

Mr. Moore, Ms. L'Italien and Ms. Lovely moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting, after section ____, the following new section:-

"SECTION ____. The Department of Higher Education is hereby authorized to establish suggested guidelines and protocols in accordance with 34 CFR 668.164(c)(2) to encourage and assist colleges and universities with the implementation of programs which reduce the cost of textbooks and other educational materials."
