Urban Agenda Economic Development Grants

Ms. Donoghue moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, by inserting, after item 7002-0035, the following item:-“7002-0036 For a competitive grant program to work with urban entrepreneurs to promote small businesses, create new jobs and support workforce development and training initiatives in urban communities; provided, that funds may be used for planning grants to local housing authorities and municipalities in urban areas to develop new affordable rental or homeownership housing; and provided further, that funds shall be available in fiscal years 2017 and 2018………$3,000,000”.
