RAFT Eligibility Requirement

Messrs. Tarr and O'Connor moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7004-9316, by adding at the end thereof the following:- "provided further, that prior to authorizing a residential assistance payment for a family, the administering agency shall make a finding that the payment will enable the family to retain its current housing, obtain new housing, or otherwise avoid homelessness"; and

in item 7004-9024, by adding at the end thereof the following:- "and provided further, that notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the department may expend up to $2,000,000 to fund the costs of a voucher management system"
