Phragmites Mitigation

Mr. Tarr and Ms. O'Connor Ives moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2300-0101, <w:p><w:r><w:t xml:space="preserve">by inserting after the word “entities” the following:-“; provided, that $40,000 shall be expended to continue a phragmites mitigation plan in marshes between the city of Gloucester and the town of Salisbury, including high-resolution salinity mapping;

and further moves to amend by inserting at the end thereof:-“; provided further, that $12,000 shall be expended to treat the invasive species milfoil at Rock Pond in the Town of Georgetown” in said item, by striking out the figures "$571,525" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$623,525"

and further moves to amend by inserting in Section 2, in item 2300-0100, at the end thereof the following:-"provided, that not less than $40,000 shall be expended for a Great Marsh green crab trapping program"; and in said item, by striking out the figures "$973,616" and inserting in place thereof "and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$1,013,616”

and further moves to amend by inserting in Section 2, in item 7003-1206, by adding at thereof, provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for the development and implementation of a middle skills workforce training program to be conducted by the Gloucester Marine Genomics Academy; and in said item by striking out the figure “$1,400,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$1,450,000”.
