Municipal Water Study

Mr. Ross moved that the proposed new text be amended By inserting, after section __, the following new section:-

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts department of environmental protection shall assess its authority to address impacts of a municipal withdrawal of water on bordering or nearby municipal surface water source affected by the withdrawal pursuant to a permit granted under chapter 21G, and report its finding to the clerks of the house and senate by May 1, 2017.
