Amendment #18 to S735

Exempting women’s shelters

Representatives O'Connell of Taunton, DeCoste of Norwell, Diehl of Whitman and Lyons of Andover move to amend the bill in section 1 by adding the following sentence:-

"Access to lawfully sex-segregated shelters for victims of domestic abuse, as referenced in Section 92A of Chapter 272 and Section 1 of Chapter 121E, may be limited to individuals of a single anatomical sex, either male or female, regardless of that individual’s gender identity."
