Equal Representation on Ethics Committee

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the order by striking, in proposed Rule 16, in lines 228, 229 and 230, the following sentence: “The committee shall consist of eleven members, seven of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker, four of whom shall be appointed by the Minority Leader.” and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: “The committee shall consist of eight members, four of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker, four of whom shall be appointed by the Minority Leader.”.
