Amendment #2 to H3448

An Amendment relative to the registration of virtual manufacturers

Ms. Benson of Lunenburg moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following new section:

"SECTION ##. Section 7 of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as amended by section 64 
of chapter 133 of the acts of 2016, is hereby further amended by inserting after subsection (a) the 
following subsection:- 


(a1⁄2) Except in the case of a pharmacy, wholesale druggist or outsourcing facility, every person with a principal place of business located in the commonwealth, and in the business of 
manufacturing controlled substances outside of the commonwealth, shall upon payment of a fee, 
the amount of which shall be determined annually by the secretary of administration and finance 
under the provision of section 3B of chapter 7, register with the commissioner of public health, in accordance with his regulations, said registration to be effective for 1 year from the date of issuance."
