Registration of Virtual Manufacturers

Ms. Benson of Lunenburg moves to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following new section:

"SECTION 20. Section 7 of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as amended by section 64 of chapter 133 of the acts of 2016, is hereby further amended by inserting after subsection (h) the following subsection:-

(i) Every person with a principal place of business located in the commonwealth who is in the business of manufacturing or distributing controlled substances, but at no time takes physical possession of such substances, shall upon payment of a fee, the amount of which shall be determined annually by the secretary of administration and finance under the provision of section 3B of chapter 7, register with the commissioner of public health, in accordance with his regulations, said registration to be effective for 1 year from the date of issuance."
