DCF Child Welfare Trial Attorneys

Representatives Khan of Newton, Smizik of Brookline, Benson of Lunenburg, Keefe of Worcester, Schmid of Westport, Cantwell of Marshfield, Tosado of Springfield, Williams of Springfield, Cahill of Lynn, Chan of Quincy, DiZoglio of Methuen and Dykema of Holliston move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4800-0015, in line 5, by inserting after the word "employees" the following:- "provided further, that the department shall expend not less than $1,000,000 for the hiring of additional news trial attorneys to handle child welfare cases;" and in said item by striking out the figures "$100,134,611" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$101,134,611".
