Amendment #1052 to H3600

End Family Homelessness Reserve Fund

Representatives Khan of Newton, Walsh of Framingham, Decker of Cambridge, Fernandes of Falmouth, Cantwell of Marshfield, Crocker of Barnstable, Tosado of Springfield, Mark of Peru, Keefe of Worcester, Williams of Springfield, Gordon of Bedford, Whipps of Athol, Collins of Boston and Goldstein-Rose of Amherst move to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting the following item: "1599-0017. For a homelessness prevention reserve at the executive office of health and human services; provided, that funds shall be used to provide tailored and flexible short-term assistance to families that are homeless with a goal of rapid housing stabilization; provided further, that funds may be used for prevention, diversion, or stabilization; provided further, that the secretary of health and human services may transfer from this item amounts necessary to meet any costs associated with the purposes of this item; and provided further, that the department may enter into interagency service agreements as needed........$1,000,000."
