Amendment #1117 to H3600

Lyme Disease Public Health Campaign

Representatives Cantwell of Marshfield, Linsky of Natick, Garlick of Needham, Calter of Kingston, McMurtry of Dedham, Atkins of Concord, Ayers of Quincy, Cutler of Duxbury, Heroux of Attleboro, Walsh of Framingham, Howitt of Seekonk, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Dykema of Holliston, Puppolo of Springfield, Benson of Lunenburg, Garry of Dracut, Keefe of Worcester, Kuros of Uxbridge, Ashe of Longmeadow, Roy of Franklin, Tosado of Springfield, Cassidy of Brockton and Driscoll of Milton move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4516-1000, in line 8, by inserting after the words " these services,", the following:

"provided further, that not less than 500,000 shall be expended for a statewide tickborne disease prevention campaign to educate the public and medical providers on best practices in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment";

and in said item by striking out the figures "12,520,173" and inserting in place thereof the figures "13,020,173".
