Funding for Disproportionate Share Hospitals

Mr. Finn of West Springfield moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0700, in line 26, by striking the figures: “$13,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures: “$24,000,000”;  and in line 29, by  inserting after the word “services;” the following, “provided further that $6 million shall be paid for inpatient and outpatient behavioral and mental health services provided by disproportionate share hospitals subject to all required federal approvals and the availability of federal financial participation and shall be prioritized for services provided to children and adolescents.”
