Amendment #378 to H3600
Homeless Youth Shelter
Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 4000-0005 the following item:
“4000-0007 For housing and supportive services for unaccompanied youth pursuant to section 16X of chapter 6A of the General Laws; provided, that the secretary of health and human services shall report to the house and senate committees on ways and means not later than March 1, 2018 on: (a) the number of youths served through this item; (b) the types of services received by participating youths; (c) the number of youths who transition into stabilized housing and the zip code of the stabilized housing; (d) the number of youths who remain in stabilized housing after 90 days, when applicable; (e) other quantifiable data related to client outcomes as determined by the secretary; (f) the number of youths turned away from the program; and (g) the amount of funding awarded to vendors for the delivery of services and the names of each vendor; provided that not less than $40,000 shall be expended for the Y2Y homeless shelter to install air-conditioning in the shelter space at 1 Church Street in the City of Cambridge ……. 4,040,000”.
