Amendment #443 to H3600

Essex County Sheriff's Office/Northern Essex Registry of Deeds Pilot Program

Ms. DiZoglio of Methuen moves to amend the bill by adding the following:

"SECTION XXXX.

There shall be an established pilot program between the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and the Northern Essex Registry of Deeds for purposes of sharing leased office space to better utilize resources from both agencies to affect savings for tax payers.  Not less than $165,000 ($82,500 shall be appropriated to each agency for the exclusive purpose of combined leased space and related expenses).

Said amount shall be appropriated and equally distributed for the sole purpose of a pilot program to determine cost savings of combined leased space for multiple state agencies.

DECAMM shall follow the RFP process in soliciting responses from potential Lessees, provided such responses accommodate both agencies under same leased space."
