Amendment #567 to H3600

Cape Cod Cranberry Growers' Association Budget Amendment

Representatives Gifford of Wareham, Cantwell of Marshfield, Schmid of Westport, Howitt of Seekonk, Vieira of Falmouth, Calter of Kingston, Muratore of Plymouth, Cutler of Duxbury, Orrall of Lakeville, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Straus of Mattapoisett and Peake of Provincetown move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 2511-0105 the following item:

 

“2511-2000 – For the Agricultural Innovation Center; provided, that the Agricultural Innovation Center shall provide a broad range of technical and business development services to the commonwealth's agricultural cranberry producers that may add value to the cranberry producers products and services; provided further, that the Agricultural Innovation Center shall develop an outreach program to identify and foster new, innovative ideas and approaches to adding value to the commonwealth's agricultural cranberry economy; and provided further, that the Agricultural Innovation Center shall solicit requests from the commonwealth's agricultural cranberry industry for funding and technical assistance in cranberry bog renovation, training, marketing, distribution, applied research, agri-tourism, processing, and agricultural resource management…………………$1,500,000”.
